Sam Wyly Headlines UT Dallas Scholarship Event

Sam Wyly is the featured speaker at the UT Dallas School of Management Second Annual Scholarship Breakfast. The event takes place at The Westin Galleria from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Now in its second year, this special program raises money for scholarships at the school.

KERA TV and Radio host Lee Cullum will moderate a discussion with Mr. Wyly about his background in business and entrepreneurship. Mr. Wyly is expected to talk about his recently published book, 1,000 Dollars & an Idea, and his experiences with Green Mountain Energy, University Computing and Michaels Stores.

The Scholarship Breakfast brings UT Dallas alumni, students and friends together with the North Texas business community. The 2009 inaugural Scholarship Breakfast resulted in almost 30 new undergraduate and graduate scholarships, which were awarded to School of Management students in fall 2009.
