Oil and Gas

The Wyly brothers began their involvement in oil and gas in 1968, when they co-founded the oil refining and mining company Earth Resources. The company discovered the second-largest silver mine in the United States, and ultimately achieved revenue of more than $700 million annually. The Wylys led the company for almost 13 years before selling it in 1980.
