Sam introduces Joe Kerwin, former president of the Dallas Negro Chamber of Commerce, to President Richard Nixon.

The Wylys have always embraced the opportunity to participate in our nation’s political processes.

For example, Charles served the federal government as an appointee to the President's Advisory Council for Management Improvement. In 1972 and 1976, Sam was a member of the Electoral College.

During both the Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford administrations, Sam served as chairman of a Presidential Advisory Commission on Minority Enterprise. In this position, Sam developed new strategies and incentives to foster economic success for America’s minority-owned businesses.
